π Fun Mars Facts for Kids
1️⃣ Mars is called the Red Planet.

They are called Phobos and Deimos. Unlike Earth’s big round Moon, they are small and oddly shaped.

One day on Mars is about 24.6 hours — just a little longer than a day on Earth. ⏰
4️⃣ A year on Mars is longer.
It takes 687 Earth days for Mars to orbit the Sun — almost twice as long as an Earth year!
5️⃣ Mars has the largest volcano in the solar system.
It’s called Olympus Mons, and it’s nearly 3 times taller than Mount Everest. π️
6️⃣ Mars once had water.
Scientists believe rivers and lakes existed long ago. Now, water is mostly frozen under the surface. ❄️

The average temperature is about –80°F (–60°C). Brrr! π₯Ά
